Pharmacy Technician IV Certified | Chicago, Illinois

An opportunity is available for a skilled IV Certified Pharmacy Technician to join a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in the Woodridge, IL area. This direct hire position offers an evening shift schedule, ideal for candidates comfortable working Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with rotating every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare intravenous (IV) medications using aseptic techniques to ensure sterility
• Perform thorough quality assurance checks on compounded products
• Manage medication inventory efficiently
• Maintain strict compliance with USP 797 standards and applicable regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
• Proven experience in sterile compounding, especially IV preparations
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment processing approximately 600 prescriptions per day
• Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems like Frameworks is preferred; training will be provided

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
• Rotating every other weekend
