An opportunity is available for a skilled IV Certified Pharmacy Technician to join an evening shift team in a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This direct hire position requires a reliable professional with exceptional attendance who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role involves preparing sterile intravenous medications, managing inventory, and ensuring strict compliance with USP 797 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare intravenous (IV) medications using aseptic techniques to maintain sterility and patient safety
- Perform quality assurance checks on compounded medications
- Manage inventory to ensure adequate supplies and reduce waste
- Adhere to USP 797 and other regulatory standards governing sterile compounding
- Utilize Frameworks software system for daily operations (training provided)
- Handle a high volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
- Rotating every other weekend
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
- Sterile compounding (IV) pharmacy technician experience is required
- Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately within a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards
- Dependable with excellent attendance record
