An opportunity is available for experienced IV Pharmacy Technicians to support a closed-door long-term care facility during the evening shift. This role involves preparing intravenous medications using sterile techniques, performing quality assurance, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with USP 797 standards in a high-volume setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare intravenous (IV) medications following aseptic techniques to maintain sterility
- Conduct quality assurance checks on compounded medications
- Manage and monitor inventory levels accurately
- Maintain compliance with USP 797 and other regulatory standards
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support pharmacy operations in a closed-door LTC setting
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active and clear New Jersey Pharmacy Technician license
- Sterile compounding experience is required
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work within a busy environment processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Frameworks software system
Shift & Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM
- Every other weekend rotation
