A Dallas-based infusion center specializing in antibiotic therapy, fertility infusions, and complex specialty biologic treatments seeks a highly skilled IV compounding pharmacy technician for a full-time temp-to-perm opportunity. This urgent backfill role requires a technician with exceptional aseptic technique and sterile compounding expertise to maintain the highest levels of safety and quality in sterile IV admixture preparation.
Location:
- Dallas, TX
Schedule:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shift within 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (exact shift TBD)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile IV admixtures including TPN, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and specialty infusions in strict compliance with USP <797>/<800> guidelines
- Accurately label, package, and stage compounded products for pharmacist verification and timely delivery
- Maintain clean room sterility through environmental cleaning, proper garbing, and meticulous documentation
- Manage inventory of IV medications and supplies efficiently
- Complete accurate compounding logs, batch records, and quality control documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the licensed pharmacist
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification
- Current IV Certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent sterile compounding experience (3+ years preferred)
- Minimum 4 years of recent pharmacy technician experience overall
- Demonstrated mastery of aseptic technique and sterile compounding protocols
