A specialized opportunity is available for an IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician with a focus on outpatient oncology infusion services. This position requires strong expertise in chemotherapy preparation and administration within a clinical infusion center setting.

Location:

  • Based in Georgia (Decatur area); candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered.
  • Flexible travel and relocation options encouraged.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Duration:

  • 13-week contract beginning March 23

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments following established oncology protocols.
  • Perform IV starts and access implanted ports safely and efficiently.
  • Support outpatient oncology infusion operations, ensuring strict adherence to sterile technique and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment and medication records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy environments.
  • Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • Certification in chemotherapy preparation and administration (Chemo Certified).
  • Proficiency in IV start skills and accessing implanted ports.
  • Knowledge of outpatient oncology infusion center procedures and safety requirements.
