A specialized opportunity is available for an IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician with a focus on outpatient oncology infusion services. This position requires strong expertise in chemotherapy preparation and administration within a clinical infusion center setting.
Location:
- Based in Georgia (Decatur area); candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered.
- Flexible travel and relocation options encouraged.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Duration:
- 13-week contract beginning March 23
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments following established oncology protocols.
- Perform IV starts and access implanted ports safely and efficiently.
- Support outpatient oncology infusion operations, ensuring strict adherence to sterile technique and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment and medication records.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy environments.
- Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required.
- Certification in chemotherapy preparation and administration (Chemo Certified).
- Proficiency in IV start skills and accessing implanted ports.
- Knowledge of outpatient oncology infusion center procedures and safety requirements.
