An opportunity exists for a Pharmacy Technician with IV Certification to support an outpatient oncology infusion center. This role focuses on chemotherapy preparation and infusion treatments within a specialized cancer care environment. The position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for 13 weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy treatments and select hematology therapies in a safe and compliant manner.
- Perform IV start techniques and access implanted ports to facilitate infusion procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering chemotherapy medications and supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience working in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings.
- Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician license.
- Certification in chemotherapy preparation is required.
- Proven skills in IV therapy, including peripheral IV starts and implanted port access.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of oncology infusion protocols.
Location:
- Canton, Georgia outpatient infusion center.
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the site.
