An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with IV certification to support a reputable outpatient oncology infusion center. This contract position is based in Canton, GA, and requires a minimum of two years of oncology or infusion experience. Candidates must be licensed in Georgia and able to perform chemotherapy preparation and administration support, including IV starts and implanted port access.
Location: Canton, GA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting April 27
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments within an infusion center setting
- Perform IV starts and access implanted ports for patients
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in handling chemotherapy agents
- Support clinical staff in managing infusion therapies, excluding blood transfusions
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings
- Certified IV Pharmacy Technician with current GA pharmacy technician license
- Demonstrated proficiency with chemotherapy preparation and outpatient oncology infusion protocols
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must reside beyond 50 miles from the worksite to be considered
