IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Douglasville, GA

This contract opportunity seeks an experienced IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician to support an outpatient oncology infusion center specializing in hematology and chemotherapy treatments. Located in Canton, GA, the role requires meticulous preparation and administration of chemotherapy medications within a busy infusion setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and verify chemotherapy and hematology treatments in compliance with safety protocols
• Perform IV starts and access implanted ports for treatment administration
• Support infusion operations while ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Collaborate with oncology pharmacists and nursing staff for seamless care delivery

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician within oncology or infusion settings
• Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license
• IV certification and chemo certification with demonstrated competence in outpatient oncology infusion
• Skilled in IV starts and accessing implanted ports (no blood transfusions involved)
• Ability to work in Canton, GA with no more than 50 miles commuting distance excluded
