IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Fort Myers, FL

A healthcare facility in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a skilled IV Certified Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract with potential to transition to a permanent role. This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in IV clean room compounding within a dynamic infusion pharmacy setting. Candidates with strong prior IV/Infusion experience are highly preferred.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IV medications and compound prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Assist in filling prescriptions and prepackaging medications in compliance with standards and government regulations.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to ensure accurate data entry for prescription filling and reimbursement.
• Support Pharmacy Management by managing inventory, including receiving, rotating stock, and assisting with physical inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by checking equipment for proper calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
• Participate in final prescription checks alongside the Pharmacist, including medication packaging and coordination of timely delivery to patients.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• National Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience with IV/Infusion pharmacy compounding is strongly desired.
• Ability to perform duties accurately under supervision and adhere to regulatory standards.
