IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Georgetown, KY

A healthcare facility in Georgetown, KY is seeking a dedicated Lead IV Pharmacy Technician to join their closed-door, long-term care (LTC) setting. This contract opportunity is available for candidates ready to start immediately, with a direct-hire potential.

This role is ideal for pharmacy technicians with solid hands-on experience compounding and working within clean room environments. While previous lead technician experience is not required, the candidate will take responsibility for leading the compounding room, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance.

Location: Georgetown, Kentucky
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead operations within the compounding room, fostering a well-coordinated environment
• Prepare intravenous (IV) medications using aseptic techniques to maintain sterility and quality
• Manage inventory effectively to support continuous production
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 standards and all relevant regulations
• Cross-train in the narcotics department to support broader pharmacy functions
• Work with the Frameworks software system (training provided)
• Handle a high volume of approximately 600 prescriptions daily

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and clear KY Pharmacy Technician license
• Minimum two years of recent compounding experience in a clean room setting (more preferred)
• PTCB certification is highly preferred, though not mandatory
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance are critical due to the fast-paced, regulated environment
