A leading closed-door long-term care facility in the Georgetown, KY area is seeking a skilled Lead IV Pharmacy Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation of intravenous medications, supporting a high-volume pharmacy that processes approximately 600 prescriptions per day.
Responsibilities include leading the compounding room with hands-on preparation of IV medications using aseptic techniques that strictly adhere to USP 797 standards. The Lead IV Tech will manage inventory and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Cross-training in the narcotics department will also be part of the role, broadening your experience and expertise. Recent experience working in a clean room environment is essential. Familiarity with Frameworks software is a plus, and training will be provided.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Rotating weekends
- Located in Georgetown, KY
Qualifications:
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license (clear and in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of recent compounding experience, preferably more
- IV Certification with demonstrated aseptic technique skills
- PTCB certification is highly preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance are critical for success in this role
