A well-established infusion center requires a skilled IV-certified Pharmacy Technician to support its sterile compounding operations. This full-time opportunity focuses on preparing and managing sterile IV admixtures following stringent USP <797>/<800> standards. Ideal candidates will bring strong expertise in aseptic technique, sterile compounding, and pharmacy operations within a fast-paced infusion therapy environment.
Location:
- Dallas, TX (3409 Worth Street, Suite 740)
Schedule:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shift within 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (schedule to be determined)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare sterile IV admixtures including TPN, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and specialty infusions
- Label, package, and stage compounded products for pharmacist review and prompt delivery
- Maintain clean room sterility by performing required environmental cleaning, proper garbing, and thorough documentation
- Manage inventory control of IV medications and supplies
- Complete detailed compounding logs, batch records, and quality control paperwork
- Support additional duties as assigned by the supervising licensed pharmacist
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
- IV Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent sterile compounding experience; 3+ years preferred
- At least 4 years of recent pharmacy technician experience overall
- Demonstrated expertise in aseptic protocols and sterile environment compliance
