A leading healthcare facility in Lexington, Kentucky is seeking an experienced Day Shift Lead IV Pharmacy Technician to oversee compounding operations within a closed-door, long-term care (LTC) setting. This direct hire opportunity demands attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining sterile environments in accordance with USP 797 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the daily activities in the compounding clean room.
  • Prepare intravenous (IV) medications using strict aseptic techniques to ensure sterility.
  • Manage inventory to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
  • Ensure full compliance with USP 797 and related pharmacy regulations.
  • Cross-train in the narcotics department to support multi-department operations.
  • Utilize Frameworks software system (training provided if needed).
  • Manage a high volume workload of approximately 600 prescriptions per day.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Rotating weekends required

Qualifications:

  • Active, clear KY Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Recent hands-on IV compounding experience with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Lead technician experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability, especially regarding attendance.
