This opportunity offers a full-time IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician role within an infusion center, working directly in a clean room environment where patients receive treatment. The position is based in Lynn Haven, FL, and carries a 13-week contract to hire status. The schedule includes first shift hours from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compound medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy in dosing and adherence to authorization, insurance, OSHA, and departmental guidelines.
- Verify orders, patient details, and drug integrity, while maintaining logs, temperature records, lot numbers, and controlled substance documentation.
- Maintain clean, compliant work areas by performing hood cleaning, proper disposal of materials, and updating drug information and MSDS sheets.
- Manage inventory tasks such as receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and precise data entry to uphold pharmacy operations and medication availability.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of pharmacy experience with strong IV compounding skills.
- IV certification is preferred.
- Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
- National Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.
- Previous chemotherapy compounding experience is highly desirable.
