A healthcare facility specializing in oncology infusion services is seeking a skilled IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician to support their outpatient oncology department. This role requires expertise in chemotherapy preparation and administration within an infusion center setting, focusing on treatments for hematology patients.

Location

  • Marietta, GA (must be willing to travel or relocate; candidates living within a 50-mile radius of Marietta are not eligible)

Schedule / Hours

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Duration

  • 13-week contract starting March 23

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy and other infusion treatments, excluding blood transfusions
  • Perform IV starts and access implanted ports as part of infusion procedures
  • Collaborate closely with oncology care teams to ensure safe handling and delivery of medications
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines specific to oncology pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy settings
  • Certified Chemotherapy Pharmacy Technician (Chemo Cert) required
  • Valid Georgia pharmacy technician license
  • Demonstrated ability to perform IV starts and access implanted ports
  • Strong knowledge of outpatient oncology infusion protocols and safety standards
