Pharmacy Technician IV Certified | Marietta, Georgia

A retail pharmacy is seeking a Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician with IV certification to support their Hiram, GA location. This role focuses on preparing customized medications such as creams, ointments, capsules, and suspensions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The position offers full-time hours with part-time availability.

Location: Hiram, GA
Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Full-time (30-40 hours) with part-time options available

Responsibilities:

• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to compound medications following USP <795> guidelines
• Customize non-sterile medications including creams, ointments, capsules, and suspensions
• Package, label, and document compounded medications in master logs
• Maintain and clean compounding equipment according to safety protocols
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain strict cleanliness standards
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists to ensure accuracy and quality

Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician License
• Minimum one year of non-sterile compounding experience is required
• IV certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict guidelines and protocols
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a pharmacy team
