A healthcare facility in the Murfreesboro, TN area is seeking a skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance. This position offers a chance to work closely under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, playing a key role in preparing IV medications and ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.

Location:

  • Murfreesboro, TN

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and fill prescriptions, including IV medications, under direct pharmacist supervision
  • Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and support reimbursement processes
  • Assist in prepackaging medications in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Support final prescription checks alongside the pharmacist, including packaging and coordination for delivery
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving, rotating, and verifying supplies
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment by monitoring equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness

Qualifications:

  • Prior IV pharmacy technician experience is required
  • Valid Tennessee pharmacy technician license
  • National certification preferred but not mandatory
