IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Nashville, TN

An opening opportunity is available for an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician in Nashville, TN. This contract-to-hire role offers an 8-week assignment with potential for permanent placement based on performance.

This position requires working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous (IV) medications while adhering to regulatory standards. The technician will assist with prepackaging, final prescription checks, and coordinating timely delivery to customers. Additional responsibilities include supporting inventory management, such as receiving medications, rotating stock, logging lot numbers and expiration dates, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment by monitoring equipment calibration and cleanliness.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
• Prior IV/Infusion pharmacy technician experience essential
• National certification highly preferred but not mandatory
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pharmacist supervision
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and inventory control practices

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Duties:

• Prepare and fill IV medications with accuracy
• Collaborate with billing to enter data for reimbursement
• Assist in prepackaging and final quality checks
• Maintain inventory and assist with physical counts
• Ensure a clean and safe pharmacy workspace
