IV Certified Pharmacy Technician - Panama City Beach, FL

An infusion center is seeking a skilled IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role involves working in a clean room environment preparing and compounding medications, with a strong emphasis on chemo compounding experience.

Location: Panama City Beach, FL
Contract Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (1st shift, full-time)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound intravenous medications under pharmacist supervision with strict adherence to dosing accuracy, authorization, insurance verification, and OSHA and department guidelines.
• Verify medication orders, patient details, and drug integrity; maintain accurate logs including temperature, lot numbers, and controlled substance records.
• Keep clean rooms compliant by performing hood cleaning, proper waste disposal, and updating drug information and MSDS sheets.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and accurate data entry to ensure medication availability and pharmacy efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience with proven IV compounding skills.
• IV certification preferred.
• Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Previous chemo compounding experience highly desirable.
