IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Panama City Beach, FL

An infusion center is seeking an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role involves working in a clean room environment, supporting patients undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy compounding—experience in chemo compounding is highly preferred.

Location: Panama City Beach, FL
Contract Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (half day)
• 1st shift, full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring proper dosing, authorization, and insurance approval in compliance with OSHA and internal protocols.
• Verify orders, patient details, drug integrity, and maintain accurate logs, temperature controls, lot tracking, and controlled substance records.
• Maintain clean, compliant work areas by performing hood cleaning, properly disposing of materials, and updating drug information and MSDS sheets.
• Manage pharmacy inventory including receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and accurate data entry to ensure medication availability and efficient operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated IV compounding skills.
• IV Certification is highly preferred.
• Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Prior chemo compounding experience advantageous.
