An opportunity is available for an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join an infusion center operating within a clean room environment. This role is a contract-to-hire position with a 13-week initial duration, offering a transition to permanent employment based on performance.

Location: Panama City, FL
Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (half-day)
  • Full-time, first shift

Role Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and compound medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring dosage accuracy and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including OSHA.
  • Verify medication orders, patient data, and drug integrity. Maintain essential documentation such as temperature logs, lot numbers, and controlled substance records.
  • Uphold strict cleanliness in the compounding area, including routine hood cleaning and proper waste disposal, while ensuring all drug information and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are current.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory through receiving, labeling, shelving, billing, and maintaining precise data entry to guarantee medication availability and support smooth pharmacy operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated proficiency in IV compounding techniques.
  • IV certification strongly preferred.
  • Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician credential required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience with chemo compounding in an infusion center setting is highly desirable.
