IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Panama City, FL

A specialized role is available for an IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician at an infusion center. This 13-week contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to work in a clean room setting where patients receive treatment, emphasizing precision and compliance in medication preparation.

Schedule & Hours:

• 1st shift, full-time
• Monday through Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accurate dosing, proper authorization, and insurance approval in compliance with OSHA and departmental guidelines.
• Verify orders, patient information, and drug integrity; maintain logs, temperature records, lot numbers, and controlled substance documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance of work areas, including hood cleaning, disposal of materials, and upkeep of drug information and MSDS sheets.
• Manage inventory tasks such as receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and accurate data entry to support pharmacy operations and medication availability.
• Support chemo compounding processes, which is highly preferred for this position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician with IV compounding skills.
• IV certification is preferred.
• Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate required.
• National Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
