IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Panama City, FL

An infusion center is seeking an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract to hire opportunity. This role offers direct involvement in preparing sterile compounded medications for patient treatment, including chemotherapy agents, within a clean room environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail and compliance with safety and regulatory protocols.

Location: Panama City, FL
Schedule:

• 1st Shift, Full-Time
• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound IV medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring correct dosing, authorization, and insurance approval.
• Verify medication orders, patient details, and drug integrity; maintain accurate logs, temperature records, and controlled substance documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and regulatory compliance of work areas, including hood cleaning and proper disposal of materials.
• Support inventory management by receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and data entry to ensure medication availability.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated IV compounding skills.
• IV certification strongly preferred.
• Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
• Experience with chemotherapy compounding is highly desirable.
