An immediate opportunity is available for a Day Shift Lead IV Pharmacy Technician in a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility located in the Richmond area, Kentucky. This contract role requires a candidate who is highly reliable with excellent attendance, essential for maintaining smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the compounding room operations, overseeing daily IV medication preparation.
  • Prepare intravenous (IV) medications using aseptic techniques to ensure sterility and patient safety.
  • Manage inventory efficiently to support ongoing compounding activities.
  • Maintain compliance with USP 797 standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-train in the narcotics department to support additional pharmacy functions.
  • Utilize the Frameworks software system; training will be provided.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.
  • Recent, hands-on IV compounding experience is required, with a minimum of two years preferred.
  • Lead technician experience is not required but would be advantageous.
  • PTCB certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to high attendance standards.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Rotating weekends are required as part of the schedule.
