A direct hire opportunity is available for an IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician dedicated to providing exceptional clinical support and sterile compounding services. The role focuses on preparing infusion therapies under pharmacist supervision while ensuring compliance with all relevant pharmacy regulations and standards.

Location: Syracuse, NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile IV and infused medications following USP 797 and USP 800 standards, as well as State Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Ensure continuity of patient care by managing call and shipment schedules effectively
  • Collect, document, and coordinate clinical data and communications with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams
  • Enter patient and prescription data accurately into pharmacy software systems adhering to regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in line with company policies and state regulations
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs
  • Keep current with continuing education and complete annual re-credentialing requirements
  • Manage receipt, storage, and packaging of medications and supplies for home delivery
  • Support formulary management through regular inventory counts
  • Pursue additional state licensure as needed to expand service coverage

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of one year experience in an infusion pharmacy setting preferred; candidates with hospital IV technician experience will also be considered
  • NY Pharmacy Technician License and current PTCB certification in good standing
  • Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy software is a plus
  • IV certification required
