An experienced Pharmacy Technician with IV certification is needed to support specialty infusion pharmacy services in the Northern Virginia area. This role offers a hybrid patient care and pharmacy operations workflow and is a contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for permanent placement after 2–3 months.

Position Overview
- Provide 50–70% patient care coordination duties, including processing referrals, verifying insurance, assisting with prior authorizations, coordinating therapy initiation, and maintaining patient communication.
- Perform 30–50% pharmacy operations and clean room support, including dispensing, sterile compounding, maintaining USP <797> compliance, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient referral intake and insurance verification with accuracy and efficiency
- Facilitate communication among providers, patients, and clinical staff to ensure smooth therapy initiation
- Support sterile compounding operations and clean room workflow adhering to safety and quality standards
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists to ensure accurate order fulfillment and medication preparation
Desired Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration/license (Virginia preferred)
- PTCB certification highly preferred
- Experience in specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, or hospital environment
- Familiarity with prior authorization and insurance processing
- Proficiency in sterile compounding and clean room procedures
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational capabilities
- Ability to start immediately and quickly adapt to workflow demands
