IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Worcester, MA

An opportunity is available for an experienced IV/Infusion/Chemo Pharmacy Technician to support oncology and infusion pharmacy operations. This role primarily involves medication delivery and nonhazardous sterile compounding within a hospital setting.

Location: Worcester, MA
Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Start Date: March 2
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver medications to infusion clinics, ambulatory clinics, and hospital units
• Assist with Pyxis medication management
• Compound non-chemotherapy sterile preparations
• Support oncology/infusion pharmacy workflows

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
• National certification as a Pharmacy Technician
• Proven experience with IV/infusion and chemotherapy pharmacy operations
• Ability to perform nonhazardous sterile compounding accurately and safely
• Reliability in delivering medications across various hospital units

This position entails a dynamic work schedule with extended weekday shifts and occasional Saturdays, ideally suited for candidates comfortable with rotation. Previous successful placements in this setting highlight the importance of strong infusion pharmacy expertise.
