Join a specialized infusion center operating within a controlled clean room environment, providing critical care to patients receiving treatment. This 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity offers a full-time schedule on first shift, designed for a detail-oriented and skilled IV certified pharmacy technician. Your expertise in IV compounding, particularly within chemotherapy settings, will directly support patient care and pharmacy efficiency.
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compound sterile medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy in dosing and full regulatory compliance.
- Verify medication orders, patient details, drug integrity, and insurance approvals.
- Maintain precise documentation including logs, temperature records, lot numbers, and controlled substance records.
- Ensure cleanliness and compliance within the compounding area through routine hood cleaning, proper waste disposal, and updated MSDS sheets.
- Oversee inventory control tasks such as receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and data entry to guarantee seamless pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated IV compounding skills.
- IV certification preferred.
- Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate required.
- National Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
- Experience with chemotherapy compounding strongly preferred.
