Pharmacy Technician - Jamaica, NY

A growing pharmacy seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician with home infusion or compounding expertise to support expanding operations in Jamaica, NY. This direct hire position demands a skilled individual comfortable with both compounding and patient/provider communication, playing a vital role in ensuring quality care and smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare compounded medications with accuracy and adherence to protocols
• Manage home infusion preparations following regulatory standards
• Utilize a proprietary workflow system to track and process orders
• Communicate regularly with patients and healthcare providers to clarify instructions and provide updates
• Support pharmacy operations including inventory management and documentation

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Proven experience in home infusion or designated compounding pharmacy settings; inpatient-only experience will not be considered
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential highly preferred
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in California (CA Tech License)
• Strong communication skills, particularly in patient and provider interactions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Flexibility to work rotating weekends and varied start times during weekdays

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday with start times at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:00 AM (flexibility required)
• Rotating weekends on call to support 7-day operations
• Facility hours of operation from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 7 days per week
