Pharmacy Technician - Jamaica, New York

A growing pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician with home infusion or specialized compounding expertise to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care through both technical compounding work and critical communications with patients and providers. Candidates with a background in retail compounding pharmacy, in addition to home infusion, will also thrive in this dynamic environment.

Location:

• Jamaica, NY

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday–Friday start times flexible between 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• Hours of operation: 7 days/week, 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound home infusion and specialized pharmacy preparations
• Utilize a proprietary workflow system to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to support medication management and resolve inquiries
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Experience in home infusion pharmacy or a designated compounding pharmacy setting is required
• Candidates with inpatient-only pharmacy technician backgrounds will not be considered
• California Pharmacy Technician license required
• National Certification highly preferred
• Strong communication skills are essential for patient and provider interactions
