Pharmacy Technician - Jersey City, NJ

An established, fast-growing closed-door pharmacy in Sayreville, New Jersey is seeking two skilled Pharmacy Technicians for direct hire. This role centers on supporting patient access to specialized therapies through efficient prescription management and excellent communication.

This position requires managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls—averaging about 900 prescriptions daily—using Prime Rx pharmacy software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations, preferably with closed-door or retail experience, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient and healthcare provider support. Candidates with frequent job changes in the past year are discouraged from applying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a high volume of patient and healthcare provider calls with professionalism and accuracy
• Offer exceptional customer service to patients and physicians, ensuring smooth order processing
• Identify and report any adverse events following company protocols
• Accurately create and maintain detailed patient, physician, and prescription records
• Support the pharmacy team in daily operations and prescription preparation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a mail order or closed-door environment
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
• Experience with Prime Rx software is an advantage

This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive compensation in the range of $18.50 to $22.00 per hour.
