Per Diem Pharmacy Technician - Joliet, IL

A retail pharmacy is seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Pharmacy Technician to support their Chicago, IL location. This per diem role offers an opportunity to work 2-3 days per week within a community-focused environment. Candidates will be trained on Best Rx pharmacy software, making it an excellent position for those eager to enhance their technical skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Filling 50-75 prescriptions daily
• Assisting customers with over-the-counter (OTC) sales
• Handling phone inquiries and patient communications
• Performing typical retail pharmacy duties

Ideal candidates will possess:

• An active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to speak Spanish fluently to communicate effectively with patients
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is preferred but not mandatory

Schedule and Hours:

• 2-3 days per week based on scheduling needs
• Hours of operation: • Monday - Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM • Friday and Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Closed Sundays
