Per Diem Pharmacy Tech | Joliet, Illinois

A retail pharmacy technician position is open at a bustling discount pharmacy in Chicago, IL, specializing in serving a diverse community. This role is ideal for a Spanish-speaking Pharmacy Technician eager to contribute in a dynamic retail environment, with a focus on customer interaction and prescription management. The position offers a per diem schedule of 2-3 days per week, providing flexibility while gaining valuable experience.

Location: Chicago, IL
Job Type: Per Diem
Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM
• Friday and Saturday: 9 AM – 2 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions accurately, handling 50-75 prescriptions daily
• Assist patients with over-the-counter (OTC) products and queries
• Communicate with patients via phone and in-person to provide assistance
• Perform retail pharmacy duties in compliance with regulations
• Use Best Rx system (training provided)

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required
• PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred; open to motivated new graduates
• Fluent Spanish-speaking skills required to effectively serve the patient community
• Strong communication and organizational skills
