Pharmacy Technician in Kalamazoo, MI

A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their team with a contract-to-hire opportunity in Kalamazoo, MI. This role offers a dynamic day-shift schedule with rotating start times to provide a balanced workday and a chance to grow within a stable environment.

Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8.5-hour shifts
• Rotating start times: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM
• Closed Fridays at 6 PM, no weekends initially (future weekend shifts possible)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision in a fast-paced retail environment
• Assist with customer service and address patient needs with professionalism and care
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Utilize pharmacy computer system to input and manage prescription information, with a preference for experience in Pioneer RX
• Support inventory control and restocking duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required
• Previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX software is a strong plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Compensation:

• $21 per hour
