A growing retail pharmacy in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis with potential for permanent employment. This role offers approximately 32 hours per week Monday through Friday, working rotating shifts between 8:00 am–3:00 pm and 10:00 am–5:30 pm. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is eager to advance long term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by assisting patients both in person and via phone, addressing medication and insurance questions promptly
  • Accurately process prescriptions including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling using PioneerRx software, with a daily volume of around 150 prescriptions
  • Support non-sterile compounding following provided training and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to verify prescription details and ensure timely dispensing of medications
  • Manage inventory, stock medications, and maintain organization and proper storage of pharmacy supplies

Qualifications:

  • Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician license
  • Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience; ability to handle high foot traffic and patient interaction is essential
  • PTCB certification is a plus but not required
  • Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and determination to succeed in a dynamic retail setting

Location: Kansas City, MO (Broadway area)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts (8:00 am–3:00 pm / 10:00 am–5:30 pm)
Type: Temp-to-Hire, 13+ week contract with full benefits upon permanent hire including medical, dental, and vision coverage
