Pharmacy Technician - Kansas City, MO

A retail-focused Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available for a motivated professional eager to contribute to patient care and medication management in a busy pharmacy setting. This role offers approximately 32 hours per week with the potential for permanent placement, including comprehensive benefits upon conversion.

Location:

• Kansas City, MO (4400 Broadway)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Rotating shifts: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting patients in-person and via phone, addressing questions, and resolving medication or insurance concerns
• Accurately process prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling, managing a high volume of approximately 150 prescriptions per day
• Support non-sterile compounding activities with provided training, preparing medications safely according to protocols
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and ensure timely dispensing
• Manage inventory, stock medications, and maintain proper organization and storage of pharmacy supplies

Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience, comfortable with high patient interaction and foot traffic
• PTCB certification is an advantage but not mandatory
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and determination
