Pharmacy Technician in Kansas City, MO

A well-established retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to contribute to a dynamic team in Kansas City, MO. This role offers approximately 32 hours per week with the potential for long-term growth and permanent employment. Location:

• Kansas City, MO (4400 Broadway, 64111)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Rotating shifts between 8:00 AM–3:00 PM and 10:00 AM–5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting patients in-person and by phone, addressing questions, and resolving medication or insurance issues
• Accurately process prescriptions including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling in a fast-paced environment managing around 150 prescriptions daily
• Support non-sterile compounding activities with training provided, preparing medications safely according to established formulas
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and ensure timely medication dispensing
• Manage inventory, stocking, and organizing pharmacy supplies to maintain efficient workflow

Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required
• Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy technician experience; strong preference for candidates comfortable with high patient interaction and foot traffic
• PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Proven team player with a determined, positive attitude
