Pharmacy Technician | Kansas City, Missouri

A retail Pharmacy Technician position is available for a motivated professional seeking growth and long-term stability. This role involves working approximately 32 hours per week, with the potential for permanent employment offering full medical, dental, and vision benefits upon conversion. Location:

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating shifts: 8:00 am–3:00 pm or 10:00 am–5:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting patients in person and via phone, resolving medication or insurance questions efficiently
• Process prescriptions accurately, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling in a fast-paced environment handling around 150 prescriptions daily
• Support non-sterile compounding activities with training provided, adhering to established safety and formulation guidelines
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and ensure timely dispensing
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, stock medications, and organize supplies for smooth pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience; experience in closed-door or hospital settings is not suitable
• PTCB certification is beneficial but not mandatory
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and determination to succeed in a busy retail environment
