Pharmacy Technician in Kent, WA

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available in Kent, WA, offering a 16-week contract with an ASAP start. This position involves working in a hospital setting, supporting sterile and non-sterile compounding duties, including chemotherapy preparations, as well as restocking automated medication dispensing systems (Pyxis units).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, including chemotherapeutic agents.
• Restock and maintain Pyxis medication dispensing units.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and pharmacy protocols.
• Assist pharmacy staff in daily operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current Washington State pharmacy technician license.
• Approximately 2 years of recent hospital experience, preferably with IV/sterile compounding.
• Knowledge of pharmacy compounding standards and safety practices.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Schedule:

• Day and afternoon shifts.
• 8-hour shifts, typically Monday through Friday.
