A direct hire opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in Virginia and Maryland to serve as a traveling liaison between a pharmacy and multiple healthcare facilities across the two states. This role is ideal for someone experienced in long-term care pharmacy settings, skilled in fostering strong relationships, and adept at managing medication compliance and training initiatives in a field-based position.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for assigned healthcare facilities throughout Maryland and Virginia, including cities like Alexandria, Richmond, Kilmarnock, and others.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with facility leadership and staff to ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care.
- Support medication therapy management and compliance in partnership with clinical and pharmacy operations directors.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Conduct educational sessions and system training tailored to facility and pharmacy needs.
- Perform monthly onsite visits and prepare reports to track ongoing improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist with survey preparations, medication cart and room inspections, and medication pass observations.
- Collaborate internally to coordinate services seamlessly for client facilities.
Qualifications:
- Current Pharmacy Technician licenses in both Virginia and Maryland are required.
- PTCB certification highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy and familiarity with medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks is preferred.
- Reliable transportation is essential for travel between facilities; overnight stays may be required.
- Flexibility for occasional late shifts due to audits or inspections.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Rare weekends required.
- Approximately 40 hours per week.
This direct hire position requires a candidate ready to start promptly and willing to travel extensively within the designated territory.
