A direct hire opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in Virginia and Maryland, with a focus on travel throughout facilities across both states. This role serves as a critical liaison between the pharmacy and multiple healthcare facilities within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities include developing and nurturing strong relationships with facility leadership and staff to ensure effective communication and service delivery. The Pharmacy Technician will act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, providing expert support on medication therapy, compliance, and pharmacy operations. Duties also encompass conducting training sessions, performing medication cart and room inspections, overseeing medication pass observations, and assisting with survey preparation. Monthly onsite visits and detailed reporting are essential components of maintaining high-quality client satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required for evening audits or visits. Reliable transportation is necessary due to travel demands, including possible overnight stays. Mileage and lodging expenses will be covered.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Virginia and Maryland Pharmacy Technician licenses
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly preferred
- Experience in long-term care settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, or Frameworks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple account relationships and provide exceptional client service
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region
