Pharmacy Technician - Kings Beach, CA

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician position based in Truckee, CA, supporting a 100-bed hospital. The assignment begins ASAP and spans 13 weeks, offering day-shift hours with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week. This role is contract-based and ideal for individuals who are licensed in California and possess hospital and IV pharmacy experience.

Key responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile compounding, restocking Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs), and managing incoming calls to the pharmacy. Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is essential for efficient workflow and patient safety.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Proficiency with intravenous (IV) medication preparation
• Skilled in sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis dispensing systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, including restocking and answering pharmacy-related inquiries
