Pharmacy Technician in La Crosse, WI

This inpatient hospital pharmacy technician position offers a dynamic environment where you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care through efficient medication management. Located in Wisconsin, this 13-week contract assignment is an excellent opportunity to leverage your hospital pharmacy technician skills in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Restock Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems efficiently and accurately
• Conduct outdate checks to ensure medication safety and compliance
• Restock medications, IVs, and pharmacy supplies daily
• Enter charges and manage related documentation within pharmacy systems
• Order, receive, and verify drug shipments to maintain inventory levels
• Monitor and log medication and storage temperatures regularly
• Prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy agents, in the cleanroom environment
• Perform daily cleaning duties in the cleanroom to maintain aseptic conditions
• Support other pharmacy operations and tasks as assigned

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, either 8- or 10-hour shifts between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend shifts on a 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM schedule, rotating every 4th weekend

Qualifications:

• Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain promptly
• Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience
• Ability to prepare sterile and chemotherapy products following all safety protocols
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and dependability
