Pharmacy Technician - La Vergne, Tennessee

This pharmacy technician position offers a 13-week contract opportunity with potential to transition into a temp-to-hire role, pending PTCB certification for permanent placement. The role is based in La Vergne, TN, supporting a busy mail order renal specialty pharmacy processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• ASAP start

Key responsibilities include working in either a customer service or dispensing capacity. In the customer service role, technicians verify shipping details, enter new patient information, and update patient profiles using the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system. Dispensing technicians focus on accurately filling and dispensing medications, ensuring quality and compliance standards.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Prior pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems; experience with Wellsky is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions and patient data
• Excellent communication skills for customer service tasks
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• PTCB certification required for permanent staffing consideration
