Join a specialized mail order pharmacy team focused on renal care, processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This contract position offers part-time hours from Monday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with an ASAP start. The pharmacy uses the Wellsky order entry system without automation, providing a hands-on experience in either customer service or dispensing roles.
Responsibilities:
- For customer service technicians: Verify shipping information, enter new patient data, and update patient profiles accurately within the pharmacy software system.
- For dispensing technicians: Accurately fill and dispense medications according to prescriptions and pharmacy guidelines.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other staff to ensure quality service and patient safety.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in a high-volume pharmacy setting.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
- Valid pharmacy technician certification/license as required.
