Pharmacy Technician in La Vergne, TN

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy technician in a renal specialty mail order pharmacy setting. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Candidates must be ready to accept an auto-offer and start promptly upon credentialing. Contract-to-hire potential exists.

Location: La Vergne, TN
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• ASAP start

Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks in either a customer service or dispensing capacity within the pharmacy
• In the customer service role, verify shipping information, enter new patient data, and update patient profiles using the pharmacy software
• For dispensing roles, accurately fill and dispense medications following established procedures
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system to manage prescriptions; note there is no automation in place
• Handle approximately 1,000 prescriptions per day in a high-volume environment

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician with strong experience in dispensing or customer service roles
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee is preferred
• Possession of the PTCB national pharmacy technician certification is highly preferred but not mandatory for those with robust experience
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
