An inpatient pharmacy technician position is available in Lafayette, IN within a hospital setting. This full-time, direct hire role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to contribute to patient care by supporting pharmacy operations in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve, count, and measure medications accurately
- Assist pharmacists with price-checking and restocking of drugs
- Access, input, and retrieve prescription information through computer systems
- Direct physician inquiries and medical questions to the pharmacist
- Uphold the hospital's mission and guiding principles in daily work
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid Indiana pharmacy technician license; no trainees accepted
- PTCB certification preferred
- Experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Proficient with Pyxis system is mandatory; experience with Wellsky is a plus
- Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and commitment to long-term employment
Schedule:
- Full-time, day shift (hours to be confirmed)
