This role requires an experienced professional familiar with inpatient settings and dedicated to providing accurate, timely pharmaceutical assistance within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve, count, and measure medications accurately for inpatient use
- Support the Pharmacist by price-checking and restocking medications
- Manage prescription data by accessing, inputting, and retrieving information via computer systems
- Redirect physician inquiries and clinical questions to the Pharmacist as needed
- Uphold the hospital’s mission and guiding principles throughout daily tasks
- Operate Pyxis systems and Wellsky software efficiently to maintain pharmacy workflow
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license (no trainees)
- PTCB certification preferred
- Hands-on experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic aligned with long-term career growth
- Proficiency with Pyxis and Wellsky systems required
