Join a fast-paced pharmacy setting in Clearwater, FL, as a skilled Pharmacy Technician supporting prescription processing, inventory management, and patient communication on a 13-week contract. Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process prescriptions, handle insurance claim adjudications, and resolve rejections to ensure timely medication delivery.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist review and verification.
  • Perform precise data entry and manage all prescription-related paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and internal teams to clarify orders and provide updates.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and monitoring medication expiration dates.
  • Assist with medication returns, quarantine protocols, and destruction procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Cross-train across pharmacy functions and support departmental needs as required.
  • Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • PTCB certification and an active Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ pharmacy technician experience; call center experience preferred.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and pharmacy staff.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Location:

  • Clearwater, FL
