Pharmacy Technician - Largo, Florida

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after job offer clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions efficiently and manage insurance adjudications, resolving claim rejections as needed.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist review and verification.
• Maintain accurate data entry, manage prescription documentation, and liaise effectively with patients and prescribers.
• Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, restocking, and review medication expiration dates to ensure stock accuracy.
• Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures in compliance with guidelines.
• Cross-train on multiple pharmacy functions to provide versatile support within the department.
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and other insurance regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification and valid Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience; call center or customer interaction experience preferred.
• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
