Pharmacy Technician - Lawrenceville, GA

An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed to support sterile compounding operations at a healthcare infusion site in Lawrenceville, GA. This direct hire opportunity requires expertise in sterile preparation and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality assurance within a pharmacy setting.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following all safety and quality standards
• Maintain adherence to USP 797 standards for sterile compounding, including completion of practical certification every six months
• Ensure proper daily cleaning of sterile compounding rooms and engineering controls per regulatory guidelines
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care quality
• Train new employees on sterile compounding procedures as assigned
• Perform additional pharmacy technician duties related to sterile compounding and infusion services
• Utilize CareTend pharmacy system for operations and documentation

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
• Proven experience with sterile IV compounding and maintaining compliance with USP 797 standards
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical pharmacy team
