Pharmacy Technician - Lawrenceville, GA

An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed to support sterile compounding operations at a healthcare infusion site. This role is focused on sterile medication preparation, quality assurance, and adherence to strict regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and effective treatment outcomes.

Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Type: Direct Hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding of medications under licensed pharmacist supervision following USP 797 guidelines
• Maintain quality assurance and comply with departmental and legal requirements for sterile preparations
• Complete sterile compounding practical certification every six months to uphold USP 797 standards
• Clean sterile compounding environments and primary engineering controls daily according to regulatory standards
• Train new employees on sterile compounding procedures as assigned
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at improving patient care within the infusion setting
• Execute other pharmacy technician duties related to sterile compounding as required

Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required
• National certification highly preferred
• Experience with IV/infusion sterile compounding recommended
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy systems is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
