Pharmacy Technician - Lees Summit, MO

A retail-focused Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in a fast-paced community pharmacy setting. This position offers approximately 32 hours per week with the potential for permanent placement and full benefits following a successful temp-to-perm transition.

Location: Lees Summit, MO
Schedule: Monday-Friday, rotating shifts between 8:00 am–3:00 pm and 10:00 am–5:30 pm
Duration: 13+ weeks, temp-to-perm
Volume: Handling approximately 150 prescriptions daily
Technology: Experience with PioneerRx software preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting patients on-site and via phone, addressing questions, and resolving medication or insurance concerns
• Accurately process prescriptions including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling within a high-volume environment
• Participate in non-sterile compounding following training, ensuring adherence to safety and formula guidelines
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and facilitate timely medication dispensing
• Maintain inventory, stock medications, and organize pharmacy supplies to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy technician experience is essential; candidates must enjoy patient interaction and thrive in a high-traffic retail setting
• PTCB certification is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong teamwork skills, determination, and a positive attitude are vital for success in this role
