Pharmacy Tech - Lewiston, Maine

This 13-week contract opportunity is open for skilled Pharmacy Technicians ready to contribute to efficient medication fulfillment and support pharmacy operations under the guidance of a Registered Pharmacist. Located in Lewiston, ME, this role offers a dynamic weekday schedule with rotating weekends to support pharmacy service needs.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions accurately under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepackage medications for dispensing in compliance with standards and government regulations.
• Assist with the final check of filled prescriptions, including medication presentation for final review and packaging after pharmacist approval.
• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.
• Support Pharmacy Management with inventory duties such as receiving, rotating stock, recording lot numbers, and expiration dates.
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and well-calibrated work environment.
• Note: This role does not involve IV preparation; it focuses on pharmacy fulfillment tasks.

Qualifications:

• Current Maine Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Experience with prescription filling and medication prepackaging preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
• Ability to assist in inventory management and maintain regulatory compliance.
