Pharmacy Tech | Lewiston, Maine

Pharmacy Technicians are needed for a rewarding 13-week contract to support a busy pharmacy located in Lewiston, ME. This role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with rotating weekends, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepackage medications for dispensing following established standards and government regulations.
• Assist the Pharmacist in the final checking process, including preparing medications for review and packaging post-approval.
• Coordinate prompt and accurate delivery of medications to customers.
• Support pharmacy management with inventory tasks such as receiving, rotating stock, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts.
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment, ensuring equipment calibration and safety standards are met.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Maine Pharmacy Technician license in hand.
• Experience working in a pharmacy setting with familiarity in prescription fulfillment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Comfortable working under pharmacist supervision and within compliance guidelines.
• Ability to maintain organization and support inventory management.
