Pharmacy Technician | Lewiston, Maine

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available immediately for a 13-week contract. This position involves working directly under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to efficiently and accurately support pharmacy operations.

Location: Lewiston, ME
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Prepackage medications following established standards and government regulations
• Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription checks, including preparing medications for review and packaging post-review
• Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers
• Support inventory management by receiving, rotating stock, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventories
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Maine Pharmacy Technician license in-hand is required
• Experience in fulfillment pharmacy technician roles, preferably within a retail or long-term care setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under supervision
• Knowledge of pharmacy inventory practices and medication handling regulations
• Excellent organizational skills and teamwork abilities
