Pharmacy Technician | Littleton, Colorado

Seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support retail/outpatient pharmacy operations in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. This contract position, with potential transition to contract-to-hire, offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule from approximately 7:45am to 5:30pm, including a one-hour lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter prescription and patient demographic information into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare prescriptions by filling, labeling, packaging under pharmacist supervision.
• Process insurance claims, including Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and 340B program prescriptions.
• Assist patients with prescription pick-up, refills, transfers, and general medication inquiries, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Handle payments and follow established cash management procedures.
• Order medications, manage inventory by receiving shipments, rotating stock, and removing expired medications.
• Support clinic medication and vaccine ordering processes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation while ensuring patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists to promote coordinated patient care.
• Deliver compassionate service to a diverse patient base, including uninsured and low-income individuals.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred.
• Active and clear Colorado pharmacy technician license required.
• Certification through PTCB or NHA mandated.
• Experience with EPIC Willow system preferred; training provided (1-2 days) if needed.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Start times between 7:45am and 8:00am
• End time at 5:30pm with a 12:00pm to 1:00pm lunch break
