Pharmacy Technician in Long Beach, CA

A contract opportunity is available for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support a closed-door mail order pharmacy specializing in long-term care. This role focuses on data entry technician positions requiring attention to detail and a commitment to long-term employment with potential for contract-to-perm placement.

Location: Long Beach, CA

Schedule/Hours:

• Data Entry Technician #1: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, with rotating days off (Sun/Mon off one month, Wed/Thurs off the next, alternating monthly)
• Data Entry Technician #2: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday

Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter and manage pharmacy data within EMR systems and frameworks
• Support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced, closed-door mail order environment
• Collaborate with sterile compounding IV techs and other team members as needed
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and quality standards
• Demonstrate reliability and consistency in attendance and performance
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts to ensure full operational coverage

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and active Pharmacy Technician license
• Experience with multiple EMR systems preferred
• Previous data entry or pharmacy technician experience in mail order or LTC pharmacy a strong asset
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy in data management
• Demonstrated commitment to staying long term in a pharmacy role
• Flexibility to work rotating weekends and varied shifts
